Who decides what, and when

You decide the outcome and approve anything outward-facing. I decide how it gets built.

The division#

You decide what the business needs to be true. I decide how it gets built, and I am accountable for that decision.

You do not need a view on how it is put together, and it is not a good use of your time to develop one. You do need a view on what it should do, because nobody else has it.

You are the gate on anything outward-facing#

Anything that goes out into the world with your name on it waits for you. You look at it, and you either approve it or send it back with a note.

That is the only standing commitment this asks of you, and it is deliberately the only one.
