If you decide to stop

The day you stop is not a day anything stops working. There is no tie-in and no notice period, and there is no part of the system that checks whether you are still a customer before it runs.

That is not generosity. It is a consequence of the accounts having been yours the whole time — there is nothing for me to switch off, because nothing was ever mine to switch off.

You tell me. My access is withdrawn — by you, from your own accounts, and you do not need me present to do it. What has been built is handed over in a state somebody else can pick up. And the ongoing work stops.

That is the whole list. It takes an afternoon, not a negotiation.

Everything. The accounts, because they were opened in your name. The work itself, because it was delivered to you as it was built. Your customers' information, because it never sat anywhere else.

And a written account of how the thing is put together, so the next person does not have to work it out by reading it.

What stops is the keeping-up. The system will carry on doing exactly what it does today, and the world it sits in will carry on changing, and after a while those two facts start to diverge.

That is not a threat and it is not immediate. It is the thing the ongoing work was for, and it is fair that you know what you are putting down.
